This workshop is part of the Eighth International Tbilisi Symposium on Language, Logic and Computation (http://www.illc.uva.nl/Tbilisi2009/)

The workshop will consist of two parts: the first day (September 21) will be devoted to Deaf Education; the following two days (September 22-23) to Sign Linguistics.

Both parts will feature invited talks (the names of the speakers will be published on the website as soon as they have been confirmed) as well as regular talks. The part on Sign Linguistics will also feature tutorials in Sign Linguistics, and a poster session.

The program committee invites submissions of (two page) abstracts for both workshop parts, on all aspects of Deaf Education and Sign Linguistics. Areas of
interest include, but are not limited to:

Deaf Education:
* history of Deaf Education
* current practice in Deaf Education
* Deaf teacher training

Sign Linguistics:
* phonetics
* phonology
* morphology
* syntax
* semantics
* psycholinguistics
* sociolinguistics
* pragmatics
* acquisition
* modality issues

The submission deadline is June 23the; date of notification of acceptance is July 15th.

We can only accept contributions submitted electronically via the Easychair conference management system as described there.
