Taking place in Ljubljana, the event is hosted by the Slovenian National Association of people with intellectual disabilities and their families 'Zveza Sožitje' on the occasion of its 50th anniversary. The event will address ageing-related concerns of persons with intellectual disabilities and their families. Building upon experiences from different countries, the conference will look for inclusive strategies to support seniors with intellectual disabilities and their ageing families in their communities. Inclusion Europe | Europe in Action 2013: Registration Open
| Taking place on 30 May – 1 June 2013 in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana; the annual congress of the European intellectual disability movement will look at the challenges faced by ageing persons with intellectual disabilities and their families.
| European Year of Citizens Alliance
| European civil society organisations joined together to create the European Year of Citizens Alliance and promote active citizenship as a key element of European democracy. The long term goal of the Alliance is to co-ordinate a European wide debate on issues related to the exercise of citizens' rights and to foster citizens' participation in the democratic life of the European Union.

Day 2013
| World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March is a global awareness day which gives people an opportunity to advocate for the rights, inclusion and well-being of people with Down syndrome.
| | WHO: Call for new assistive device solutions | The World Health Organisation has issued a call for innovative health technologies with an emphasis on assistive technologies. Successful submissions will be included in WHO annual publication, a compendium of technologies. The deadline for submitting your assistive device or other innovative health technology solution is 30 April.
