"الصم البحرينية" تقيم مخيماً في ضيافة الحرس الوطني

 
* نظمت اللجنة اﻻجتماعية والثقافية في "جمعية الصم البحرينية" مخيمها السنوي في ضيافة مخيم الحرس الوطني، وذلك يوم الجمعة (21 يناير 2014)، بحضور سعادة الوكيل المساعد للتجارة المحلية بوزارة التجارة الأستاذ حميد يوسف رحمه، وعدد من مسئولي الحرس الوطني.

المخيم حضره أكثر من 150 من أعضاء وعضوات الجمعية وأبنائهم، حيث قضوا أوقاتاً ممتعة ومفيدة من خلال البرامج والفقرات الترفيهية التي وضعتها اللجنة المنظمة برئاسة حسين الشجار، من أجل تجديد النشاط وزيادة التفاعل والتواصل الاجتماعي، والعزم على مواصلة الطريق.

وبدأت برامج وفعاليات المخيم من الساعة التاسعة صباحأ حتى الخامسة مساءً، حيث هدفت إلى الترفيه عن الأعضاء وأبنائهم، وتنمية المهارات والقدرات البدنية والذهنية، وتعزيز مفهوم التعاون بين الفريق الواحد والتعامل مع الآخر، والتعوّد على تحمل المسؤولية، إضافة إلى وضع الخطط المستقبلية للجمعية، خصوصاً ان الجمعية تستعد من الآن لوضع البرامج الخاصة للاحتفال بأسبوع الأصم العربي في أبريل/ نيسان المقبل.

ووجّه رئيس اللجنة المنظمة حسين الشجار شكره للقائمين على مخيم الحرس الوطني على تعاونهم الكبير، وحيّا الأعضاء الذين عملوا بروح الفريق الواحد لإنجاح المخيّم السنوي.

الأخوة والأخوات أعضاء مجموعة الصم العرب

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

أرجو ملاحظة أن الورشة التي سينظمها مركز الأمير سلمان لأبحاث الإعاقة ليست لتعليم لغة الإشارة السعودية ، وإنما لتدريب المترجمين والمترجمات الذين يعملون حالياً في ميدان الترجمة. الورشة هذه تتطلب إجادة لغة الإشارة السعودية لأنه سيكون هناك مناقشات وتدريبات عملية على الترجمة بالإضافة إلى الجانب النظري

لأنني فوجئت أن الكثير يعتقد أنها للتدريب على لغة الإشارة السعودية. من لا يجيد لغة الإشارة السعودية لن يستطيع أبداً التدرب على الترجمة. هذا أشبه بدورة للتدريب على الترجمة من اللغة العربية إلى الإنجليزية وبالعكس مما يتطلب أن يكون المشاركون يجيدون كل من اللغتين العربية والإنجليزية ليتمكنوا من التدرب على الترجمة. إذا كان الشخص لا يجيد اللغة الإنجليزية فلن يتمكن أبداً من المشاركة والاستفادة من التدريب لعدم المامه باللغة الإنجليزية.

وهكذا هو الحال مع هذه الورشة من لا يجيد لغة الإشارة السعودية لن يستطيع أبداً الترجمة والتدرب والتطبيق. لكن من لديه الرغبة ليصبح مترجماً فعليه أولاً أن يلتحق بدورات لغة الإشارة السعودية ويتقنها وفي المستقبل يمكنه الانضمام للورشة للتدرب على الترجمة وقوانينها

هذه الورشة تستهدف المترجمون والمترجمات الذين يعملون في ميدان الترجمة بالفعل وليس للمعلمون والمعلمات والتربويون. إن كان المعلم يعمل فعلاً مترجم يمكنه الانضمام للورشة لكن ليس كل المعلمون مترجمون وليس كل المترجمون معلمون

ملاحظة: المترجمون العرب الذين يعملون كمترجمون في السعودية بإمكانهم التسجيل في الورشة والاستفادة منها وذلك لأنهم يعملون ويخالطون الصم السعوديين ويعرفون من خلال الممارسة والمخالطة لغة الإشارة السعودية

هذه الورشة التمهيدية مدتها 5 أيام وصممت للأشخاص الذين يتعلمون لغة الإشارة السعودية ويريدون أن يصبحوا مترجمي لغة الإشارة. سوف تستعرض الورشة المهارات والصفات اللازمة للمترجم الفعال، وكيفية اكتساب المهارات والخبرات اللازمة قبل تقديم خدمات الترجمة. سنتطرق للمواضيع التالية: كيفية الاستمرار في بناء الكفاءات اللغوية الأساسية التي هي أساس الترجمة ونماذج للترجمة المعرفية والاجتماعية اللغوية والمبادئ الأخلاقية التي توجه عملية صنع القرار، والكفاءة المهنية من منظور الثقافات المتبادلة، لكي يصبح المترجم حليفاً مع مجتمع الصم. هذه الورشة التدريبية سوف تكون مزيجاً من مجموعات صغيرة وكبيرة من الجلسات التدريبية مع محتوى وجانب نظري ذو صلة.

الدكتورة ديبرا روسل هي مترجمة لغة الإشارة الأمريكية واللغة الإنجليزية ومترجمة تعليمية من كندا. وممارستها للترجمة تمتد إلى ثلاثين سنة ولا زالت تواصل عملها في الترجمة في المجتمع والذي يتنوع بين المجال الطبي والقانوني والصحة العقلية والتوظيف. هي عضو مؤسس لجمعية مترجمي اللغة البصرية الكندية وقد خدمت في العديد من الأدوار القيادية على مدى تاريخ المنظمة. وهي حالياً رئيسة للجمعية العالمية لمترجمي لغة الإشارة. وبحكم كونها رئيسة سابقة لمقعد دافيد بيكوف قسم دراسات الصم في جامعة ألبرتا ، والمدير الحالي للمركز الغربي لدراسات الصم فقد أجرت أبحاثاً حول التعليم الوسيط والذي  يشمل المترجمين في المجال القانوني والمحادثة القانونية وأبحاثاً حول فريق المترجمين المكون من الصم والسامعين.

صدور تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لعام 2014 حول إمكانية الوصول

 أكثر من 1000 خبير من جميع أنحاء العالم عملوا على تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لعام 2014.

معاً، قاموا بمسح واقع تنفيذ الاتفاقية الدولية لحقوق الاشخاص المعوقين في 130 بلد وتم ترشيح 243 مشروع على لقب "الممارسات الجيدة" و 68 سياسة على لقب "السياسات الجيدة لعام 2014" وهذا يعتبر رقماً قياسياً!

يتناول تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لهذا العام:

صدور تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لعام 2014 حول إمكانية الوصول

 أكثر من 1000 خبير من جميع أنحاء العالم عملوا على تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لعام 2014.

معاً، قاموا بمسح واقع تنفيذ الاتفاقية الدولية لحقوق الاشخاص المعوقين في 130 بلد وتم ترشيح 243 مشروع على لقب "الممارسات الجيدة" و 68 سياسة على لقب "السياسات الجيدة لعام 2014" وهذا يعتبر رقماً قياسياً!

يتناول تقرير ZERO PROJECT  لهذا العام:

Organization calls for redesigning scope of work for people with vision disabilities

MUSCAT, OMAN: The Al Noor Association for the Blind has called for redesigning the scope of work for people with vision disabilities at workplaces and has stressed on the need for more job opportunities for them.

Barka al Bakry, the association’s vice president said, ”The number of people with vision disabilities is on the rise and we have to address the problem.

”Not all companies advertising for vacancies specify if the posts are for people with disabilities. Companies do not provide jobs to people with disabilities unless they are coaxed to.”

Barka added, ”It’s high time to allocate more jobs for people with vision disabilities and people who are blind. There are so many things that these people can do.

”The number of people with vision disabilities in the country has gone up. The 2010 Census showed there were 17,000 people with vision disabilities in the country; the number was only 12,000 in the 2003 Census.”

Omran al Rahbi, blind, an executive at a call centre said, ”I have been at this post for the past seven years. The monotony of it discourages me. There has been no promotion or change in my position.”

Talking about accessibility problems at work, he said, ”Accessing facilities is difficult at times. Mobility problems at workplace and lack of transportation are other issues. Since we cannot drive, a family member has to dedicate his or her time to take us around.”

Ali al Amri, also a employee with vision disabilities said, ”Many things are not labelled in Braille. The lift does not have Braille buttons, but the problem was sorted after the company installed a lift with voice recordings.

”I think we need better accessibility. In Oman, we don’t have a training center to support people who are blind for more than a year

People with hearing disabilities struggling to access services in Qatar

QATAR: Public and private services entities and organizations should provide sign language interpreters at their headquarters for the benefit of people of are deaf or hard of hearing, suggested a member of the Central Municipal Council (CMC).

CMC member Mohamed bin Zafir al-Hajiri argued that people with hearing disabilities are finding great difficulty in getting proper access to various services for example at municipalities, Qatar Airways, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), banks, and hospitals.

He suggested that special incentives should be given to some of the current employees of these organizations to get training in sign language and become qualified sign interpreters.

“There is no need to recruit new staff. Training some of the existing employees would be enough to ease the life of people with hearing disabilities and provide them with equal access to public and private services,” suggested al-Hajiri.

The council hosted yesterday Ali al-Sinari and Saleh al-Marri, chairman and director general, respectively, of Qatar Social-Cultural Centre for the Deaf, along with Aisha Abdulqadir, an interpreter and expert in sign language, to discuss the issue.

“I am proud of being here among the CMC members and I really appreciate their great services for the society. I am also thankful for your efforts to integrate people who are deaf and people with disability into the society,” said al-Sinari, addressing the council through the interpreter.

He explained the difficulties facing people with hearing disabilities, especially couples, in daily life and in particular in the event of an emergency. He said that such people face immense hardship in obtaining access to higher education, which reduces their chances of getting a good paying job. He urged the council to adopt their cause and promote the spread of sign language in the country.

“It is an easy and international language used for communication with and among people who are deaf. We, at the deaf centre, provide sign language interpreting training courses for three-and-a-half months,” he pointed out.

CMC chairman Saud al-Hinzab approved a suggestion to appoint a sign language interpreter at the council and referred the matter for the services and utilities committee for further study.

CMC vice-chairman Jassim al-Malki, said that Qatar is signatory to all the international agreements that promote the rights of people with disabilities and implemented this in its local laws.

“The government should ensure that such individuals get equal rights and opportunities without any discrimination,” he affirmed.

أخي الفاضل لا بد من تعبئة نموذج التسجيل إلكترونياً أو تنزيله وتعبئته ومن ثم ارساله بالفاكس للمركز .. كما أرجو التشييك على الإيميل والرد على الرسائل التي تصلكم من المركز.. أنت أبديت رغبتك بحضور الورشة لكن لم تسجل فيها .. وجاري العمل على تأمين مترجم للورشة وإن تعذر ذلك ربما أقوم أنا بالترجمة لكم حيث سأطلب من الدكتورة ديبرا التحدث بالإشارات الدولية وأترجمها لكم باللغة العربية

الدكتورة ديبرا روسل هي مترجمة لغة الإشارة الأمريكية واللغة الإنجليزية ومترجمة تعليمية من كندا. وممارستها للترجمة تمتد إلى ثلاثين سنة ولا زالت تواصل عملها في الترجمة في المجتمع والذي يتنوع بين المجال الطبي والقانوني والصحة العقلية والتوظيف. هي عضو مؤسس لجمعية مترجمي اللغة البصرية الكندية وقد خدمت في العديد من الأدوار القيادية على مدى تاريخ المنظمة. وهي حالياً رئيسة للجمعية العالمية لمترجمي لغة الإشارة. وبحكم كونها رئيسة سابقة لمقعد دافيد بيكوف قسم دراسات الصم في جامعة ألبرتا ، والمدير الحالي للمركز الغربي لدراسات الصم فقد أجرت أبحاثاً حول التعليم الوسيط والذي  يشمل المترجمين في المجال القانوني والمحادثة القانونية وأبحاثاً حول فريق المترجمين المكون من الصم والسامعين.
