Position: DIRECTOR OF POLICY & INFLUENCING

ADD International works with disabled people in some of the poorest countries in Africa and
Passionate about the rights of disabled people, you are likely to have first class policy and influencing skills, a good understanding of the importance of evidence and research, and the ability to represent an organization at the highest level. You will be comfortable in both complex policy debates but also have the ability to communicate issues simply to wide audiences. You must have experience of working in developing countries, and the ability to link local level development work to global policy debates.
A strategic thinker you will have experience of advocating for the rights of highly excluded groups, and engaging and influencing both southern and northern governments, policy makers and both specialist and mainstream development organisations.
ADD is committed to the employment of disabled people at all levels of its organisation (currently around 40% of staff identify as disabled).
