- المتطوعون والمترجمون المعتمدون ممن يحملون تصريحاً رسمياً من اللجنة المنظمة للمؤتمر وكذلك المرشدون المرافقون للصم المكفوفين بشرط ملازمة وفد بلادهم ولا يسمح لهم بالدخول بدون الوفد.
الفئات التالية يمكنهم المشاركة في المؤتمر برسوم مخفضة
- جميع أعضاء جمعية الصم في جنوب أفريقيا
- أعضاد الدول النامية حسب تصنيف الاتحاد العالمي للصم
- الشباب الصم ممن تبلغ أعمارهم بين 18 - 30 سنة بحلول 25 يوليو 20111 م ويشترط ارسال صورة من الهوية أو جواز السفر
- الصم من كبار السن ممن تبلغ أعمارهم 65 سنة وما فوق ويشترط ارسال صورة من الهوية أو جواز السفر

Early Bird Deadline Extended In light of this tremendous response, we have decided to extend the Early Bird Registration deadline till end of this month order to accommodate everyone who wants to attend. A lot of folks have contacted us this week letting us know that they needed more time for them to attend, and we wanted to make sure everyone the opportunity to register at the Early Bird price. We ask those who have contacted us to be patient; we are working to respond the questions as quickly as possible. The early bird deadline is 30 April 2011, after that, the prices go up.

The Deaf Federation of South Africa successfully bid to host the XVI World Congress of the World Federation of the Deaf in Durban in 2011, bringing the Congress to Africa for the first time in history.
