Thank you for keeping us in the loop. 

 

We are very happy with respect to the news of the recognition of the local sign languages.  That is great news.

 

Could you please forward me any articles, news, publications with respect to the unification of the Arab Sign Language, so that I will forward them to a concerned person in Egypt for publication reasons.  We have to show to this person that the efforts of the Arab SL have negative consequences for local Arab persons, by banning the use of their own SL...

أخوتي وأخواتي أعضاد مجموعة الصم العرب السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته لا زالت الفرحة تغمر جميع الصم في جميع دول العالم بعد الاعلان الرسمي لبيان وقرارات مؤتمر فانكوفر التاريخي والذي أقر واعتمد لغة الإشارة المحلية في تعليم الصم مع تقديم اعتذار لجميع الصم في جميع دول العالم عما تسبب به قرار مؤتمر ميلانو المشؤوم عام ١٨٨٠ م من حرمان الصم من لغاتهم المؤشرة وللضرر الكبير الذي وقع على الصم من جراء هذا القرار المجحف وتسبب في ضعفهم اللغوي وأمية عدد كبير جداً من الصم في الدول النامية وقد قام معهد لغة الإشارة الألمانية والتواصل للصم في جامعة هامبورج - ألمانيا مشكوراً بترجمة قرارات مؤتمر فانكوفر ٢٠١٠ م للإشارات الدولية مع وضع كل قرار باللغة الإنجليزية المكتوبة. وإليكم الرابط http://www.vimeo.com/13608400 من الجدير بالذكر أن مشروع ما يسمى بـ "توحيد لغات الإشارة العربية" الذي يديره ويشرف عليه مترجمي قناة الجزيرة ويعملون حالياً على الجزء الثالث للمشروع بالتعاون مع جامعة تونس هو شبيه تماماً بقرارات مؤتمر ميلانو الذي حرم الصم من لغاتهم المؤشرة .. والمشروع  العربي بتوحيد لغات الإشارة يهدف لحرمان الصم العرب من لغاتهم المؤشرة وتدميرها ومحوها من الوجود واستبدالها بإشارات يتم اختيارها بالتصويت واجبار الصم العرب على استخدام تلك الإشارات المصطنعة في التعليم . وهذا مخالف لجميع القوانين الدولية وانتهاك صارخ للحقوق الإنسانية واللغوية للصم العرب من الجدير بالذكر أن المئات من المشاركين في المؤتمر العالمي لتعليم الصم في فانكوفر توافدوا على التوقيع على الموافقة على بيان وقرارات مؤتمر فانكوفر باقرار لغة الإشارة المحلية في تعليم الصم وقد سلم الكتاب بعد انتهاء المؤتمر لرئيس الاتحاد العالمي للصم ، ماركو يوكنين ، لكي يقوم الاتحاد العالمي للصم بجمع المزيد من التواقيع في المؤتمر العالمي السادس عشر للاتحاد العالمي للصم في دربان - جنوب أفريقيا ٢٠١١ م ولنا عودة لهذا القرار التاريخي الذي أعاد الحق لأصحابه .. أكرر التهاني والتبريكات لجميع الصم العرب أختكم/ هند الشويعر         ------------------------------ Hend Al-Showaier Manager, Deaf and Sign Language Program Prince Salman Center for Disability Research  Riyadh, Saudi Arabia www.pscdr.org.sa   Mailing address (Home) : P.O.
